Sort by capture time by default?

When opening up a new contact sheet the default seems to be that the images are sorted by filename even though this is the third option down in the drop down list. I nearly always want to sort by capture time. Is it possible to change the default when loading?

Go to the Photo Mechanic Preferences, select the "Contact Sheet" section.
There you will find a drop down box named "Default sorting method" where you can set the sorting as you may need.

BUT: Please keep in mind that this will slow down the opening of the contact sheet as (depending on your preferences) all of the metadata has to be read first...
