An undo function for pasted information
« on: September 15, 2015, 08:32:00 AM »
Hi. It would be great if future versions of PM could incorporate a more comprehensive 'undo' feature so that stupid mistakes pasting things into the wrong places made using the "cmd+I" IPTC stationary function could be reversed.

Case in point: on a tight deadline yesterday after a long day's shooting I mistakenly pasted over a bunch of captions with something I'd meant to write in the keywords box and had to re-caption them all.  Going in to each photo and hitting undo just cleared the caption box. It would be amazing if we could retrieve data that thad been previously entered, even better if this could be done to a batch of files.

Otherwise, really, really great product.

Thanks!

Hello Mr. Beam,

Thanks for the suggestion. I wanted to note that pressing command-z (OSX) immediately after pasting in an error will undo the paste AND restore what was in the field.   I know this won't help you retroactively, but perhaps in the future.
