Errors ingesting same filenumber after upgrade to Version 5.0

Hello all. Since I upgraded to Version 5 I am getting error messages when I ingest a file with the same number.
Until the upgrade it would have ingested ok and just renamed it. Now, it adds an A to the file number but it corrupts the image.
Any ideas would be appreciated, or if it's possible to revert to my previous version of PhotoMechanic.
