Filtering by File Suffix

Is it possible to filter the Contact Sheet as a whole per file suffix? Just showing *.jpg or *.nef or *.cr2 or *.dng or a user chosen combination. Like filtering on Color Classes?

The manual does not show methods nor means to do that except by sorting and that is not what I'm looking for...

No, not currently.  There is no filter by filename extension feature.

I don't see that that could be misunderstood! The question was whether you could implement that as a future feature. No reason to get nitypicky here. :-/
