Author / Photographer problem

Hi

The Photographer field in the IPTC field inthe statioery pad should show as the Author in Windows, but doesn't. 

If I change the Author in Windows (7) it shows in PM, but I can't get it to work the other way round.   The photog name doesn't show as Author even if the images are imported with the name set in the IPTC.

Hopefully I'm missing something simple?

The Author you refer to in Windows is an EXIF tag and not an IPTC field.  Photo Mechanic does not edit the Author EXIF tag.  If no Photographer IPTC entry exists, PM will show the Author EXIF tag when the {photog} variable is used.

OK that's great now I understand what's going on, thanks Kirk.

I just have to make sure the Author name I require is in the camera.
