font symbols
« on: September 15, 2014, 12:24:41 PM »
I am trying to distinguish between boxers by using the (R) and (L) in my captions, instead of right and left.
However, when I type (R), my text changes to the "Registered" symbol, the R with a circle around it.

I am on a mac.....anyone have advice to change the font so the symbol wont come up?

Go into System Preferences on your Mac.  Click on the Language & Text preferences icon.  Click on the Text tab.  Turn off the item containing (r).  Turn off any others you think will get in your way.
