Just asking about the {lenstype} being lost on Save As
« on: October 30, 2015, 09:55:25 PM »
Running 5.0, build 16438 on iMac Intel OS X 10.10.5

When I use a crop and Save as to make a copy of a JPEG file with lens type data in place, see capture 1, the lens type data is stripped from the resulting jpeg. see attachment 3. I note this has been reported on before with some discussion about seeing it could be remedied, but it's still happening. I appreciate any word on an update.

In screen caps, upper right of frame 1 and 3 show status of lens type variable.

The information pertaining to the lens type is stored in the proprietary camera manufacturer's maker note and cannot be preserved.
