Shorter Model name?

I'm using the "model" variable and for the Sony RX-100 it returns "DSC-RX100M4", but I would like to just have RX100.  I think there is a way for substituting but I am not totally sure if it can do that or not.

You can do this either with code replacements or using the substring feature of variables. If you want I can show you how  ;)

Sounds like Substring could be an easy win, I will try and look up the syntax tonight.  Thanks!!
