Latest version crashes on big DNG files

I just updated to the latest version of PM, and when I tried to read some DxO DNG files, the software crashed (Macbook Pro, 12 G RAM). Tried several times, same result. Tried reinstalling, same result. Remove cache, same result.

The DNG are about 40-50 Mb big. Same result when asking for any info on any of the photo files.

Any suggestions?

What system are you running on? If on a Mac, do you have Raw rendering turned on?

I don't see any issue with big DNG files on a Mac (I have several really big DNG files, including some panos that are a couple of 100MB). Perhaps there is an issue with how DXO writes these DNG files, can you perhaps share one with us?

Hmmm. Looks like I'm running in file upload limits. I've zipped the photo but that's still too big to upload. I'll upload them to a Dropbox file

I'll do it in several posts. 1st, yes, it's a mac running the latest MacOS update, and latest PM update. Raw rendering is always up (all my photos are Raw).

I had a look at your dropbox images and I have no problem viewing them whatsoever. I even tried to render them using Apple's ImageIO like you have, and they still do not crash PM.

I'm on OS X 10.10.5, what OS version are you on?

Note: as you use DXO to process your raw files, you should really turn off Apple's ImageIO rendering; it will use a different algorithm to render them so they will not look the same as in DXO. Better have DXO update the embedded preview with its processing (and while you're at it, make them full sized too; now the previews are only have sized). If you do this PM will show the images as you have edited them in DXO.

Thanks, I'll have  a look. It's strange that it was working fine until the last PM update. My os is 10.11.3
