Preferences/ General Tab/ Color Classes

When I select the Adobe Lightroom Color Class it keeps reverting back to the default as soon as I close the Preferences window. Is this a defect? I really would like my photos to use the LR Color Class and as the app works now I can't, which kind of makes the options useless. Please provide some guidance.

I am using Photo Mechanic Version 5.0, build 18040 (9e75cf5). And I am on MacOS Sierra 10.12.3.

Sounds like your PM preferences are damaged.  I'd like to see your Photo Mechanic log.  In Photo Mechanic go to the Help menu and choose "Reveal Support Data..." and moments later a Finder window will come forward with the zipped log file selected.  Use the 'Attachments and other options' link when you're composing your reply to this message and there you'll be able to upload your zipped PM log file.
