El Capitan or Sierra

I am presently using P/M version 4.6.9 on my Mac with Mavericks 10.9.5.
 Question, I want to upgrade to El Capitan or Sierra and I need to know if my version of P/M will work with either of these systems.
Can someone please answer my question. Thanks Derek

The last OS that PM 4.6.9 was developed for was Mac OS X 10.7.5 (Lion).

PM 4.6.x is no longer being updated to run on newer OSes.

Thanks Kirk for replying. Once I have either system installed I will purchase the latest version on P/M.  Is it still P/M 5 ?

Photo Mechanic version 5 is the current version, yes.
