Ingest Or Open Contact Sheet
« on: April 07, 2017, 07:15:38 AM »
Hi,

Just a quick one, what is the difference between Ingest & opening a Contact Sheet ?

Also when I've culled i drag my photos into folders I have on my desktop, what is the difference between this and 'Save As' ?

Col,

Ingest copies (downloads) images from the source to the destination.  Opening a Contact Sheet simply browses images where they are, no copying is performed.

Dragging would do either a copy or a move of the files from their source to your Desktop folder.  Save As writes out a new version of your images (with various options applied) to the destination.
