Capture time sort
« on: July 15, 2017, 12:50:19 PM »
Hi Kirk and all,

Capture time sort works but is sorting for each camera individually. :-[
EdZirkle_7-15-2017_EZ3_8991 to EdZirkle_7-15-2017_EZ3_9028 gets sorted by correct capture time the starts with the next camera, EdZirkle_7-15-2018_EZ2_8898 to EdZirkle_7-15-2018_EZ2_8920.
In the past camera nomenclature didn't matter - EZ3 or EZ3 - it just sorted by capture time.
Double ck'ed cameras, within seconds of each other.  I did clear sort cache.

Looking forward to some suggestions, thanks...

Ed

Capture time sort does sort on capture time alone so what you are seeing not normal. I can think of two obvious reasons: Either what you are seeing is caused by the times really being far apart (check the capture datetimes and verify that they are indeed taken on the same day and at the same timeframe) or perhaps you are using a custom sort that includes the camera?

no custom sort and as stated in the first post camera times are just seconds apart...
seems to be sorting alpha first then camera time???
Kirk do you have suggestion?

Ed,

I'd need two sample images (with any sidecar files) that don't sort correctly.  Without actual data I cannot make a determination.

Err, I just had a closer look at the file names and it is quite obvious what the problem is. One file is dated 2018, while it should be 2017. Looks like your camera is set incorrectly...

That would do it!

OMG, who has been playing with my cameras!  I think Lola my dog did it.
Thank you so much for the pointer, knew it some something simple, just didn't think it would be fat fingering date on camera.
Thanks again!!!
