Photos will not delete

Hello-

I am using a Mac with OS 10.13 and Photomechanic 5 build 18980 (60d39ba). When I try to delete an image with the "delete" key nothing happens. When I drag the files to the trash the contract sheet goes blank and gives a "moving images to trash" message but nothing happens. Any advise would be great.
