Automatic zooming to region of focus point?
« on: September 03, 2018, 10:02:45 AM »
Could we please have automatic zooming to the region of the active focus point? I use this feature on the Canon 5DIII and 5DIV on camera and while editing it would be great to also have a 100% zoom to the focus point in PM, rather than the centre of the frame.  Would be much appreciated.

PM doesn't know where the focus points are (they're defined in proprietary information in the maker note of the image).

You can zoom in on a particular area of the image:
Quote
If you ⌘-click on a particular detail of the image in the Preview window it will zoom to whatever percent size is currently set on the slider, centered on the spot you clicked on. ⌘-click again will zoom back out.

On Windows use the Control key while you click.
