cannot toggle between move and copy files

holding ctrl  always toggles to copy..but now it shows the +sign but moves the file not copy the file ??
whats wrong ? latest version. Setting are checked and fine.
ok between phys.drives it always copy files...

What OS are you running?
Are you using drag and drop?
Is the source of the drag and drop a contact sheet of images?
Is the destination another contact sheet?  A folder in the Favorites?  The Navigator?  Some folder on the Desktop?

You're not giving me enough information to help solve your problem.

OK, what is path to the folder that the contact sheet is browsing?


What is the path to the folder that you're dropping the images?

hm ..?
the problem doesnt depend on the path location ... it exists from any folder to any folder.
maybe a usfull info could be that its within a network drive (NAS 64TB)

but i remember it was working in the past ..but cannot say until when

Another option would be to right-click drag to the destination.  You'll then be given a contextual menu that allows you to choose to move or copy.  If both options still move instead of copy then I'd be truly stumped.
