When Lightroom starts out closed, and I do my work in PM, and use EDIT to send the photos to LR, everything works fine.  But if LR is already open, I get what's shown in the attached file.

The easy fix is to close LR before sending over the images.
Is there a better way?

Yikes, is there something to click on to show an attached image in a smaller size?

If not, I'll edit photos first before posting here.

Lightroom doesn't work well as an "Editor" in that it responds differently to images being sent to it when running versus not yet running.  Many users have found drag and drop to be more consistent and effective.  In Photo Mechanic select the photos you want to edit and drag and drop them onto Lr.  It should consistently result in the import module handling the images.

Reviving an old thread here, sorry, but if you just click on the top bar of lightroom it should switch to the correct import window. I had this problem at first too and discovered this fix. Works every time.

Hey, don't be sorry - Thank You!!!!!

I never did get an answer - will try what you suggested.

Can I ask what you're referring to as the "Top Bar in Lightroom"?  Or, I guess I can experiment.

I've been away for a couple of months, and haven't  used PM at all during that time.  Now that I'm back in India, I expect I'll be using it again.  What you're suggesting will make life easier for me!!
