Force catalog contents to go live
«

I am having problems getting the catalog to show green dots on the photos (connect)
I have a small catalog in pictures folder on main computer HD (Mac os 10.11.6)
All the photos are on a external HD (LaCie drive on & mounted).
I tried to quick search "" - cataloged thumbnails show but NOT live photos (clear circles)
I navigated to ext. HD where images are & tried to double click all the folders that contain images - still clear circles (screenshot 1)
EXCEPT I was successful by double clicking the "Sent" sub-folder that happens to also contain some subfolders
I was able to get GREEN circles on ONLY this 1 folder & it's sub-folders (see screenshot 2).
What am I doing wrong?
Suggestions to get catalog to consistently connect (go live - green circles)?
btw is I go to the top level DNG-2019 folder in the navigator (says 5429 photos) If I scroll through the all the photos some have green circles & some don't.
Thank You
Mary
ps - I even went into Catalog maint. & re-indexed the catalog & I get the same behavior

Hi,
Instead of reindexing the catalog, have you tried to Scan to Catalog again? Try it first with a small folder of the catalog and check if the green circles appear...
