Good morning. Any ideas, what the "+" checkbox in the IPTC-Info field "persons shown" (see attachment) means and how it works?

If you select the Persons Shown checkbox and apply the metadata template to one or more images, then any existing data in the Persons Shown field of the images(s) will be overwritten by the data in the template.  If you also check the “+” box then the template data is appended to any existing information in the Persons Shown field of the image(s).
