File management not working

I am running Mac OS 10.15.1
PM6 Build 3954

When I rename files from the contact sheet and then move them to new folders, also created from contact sheet, nothing happens outside of PM.

The photos are still the same on disk and no new folders.

Please help.

Update:

I just removed build 3954 to install the next older version, restarted computer, checked the folder where pics are stored and all the files are fine.  They have been updated and properly put in their correct folders.

Wondering if I should try the latest version again and see if it was maybe someting on my computer or continue with current plan of trying the older version.
