Find based on EXIF

Is there any way to use the Find dialog to search for images in the contact sheet based on EXIF data?  Or are we limited to IPTC?  I guess I can do some workaround where I populate an IPTC field with the EXIF data I am interested in and then search for that...

The Find dialog does not search EXIF of any kind.

Photo Mechanic Plus (in beta) does allow browsing, filtering, and searching based on popular EXIF fields.
