When you paste the metadata snapshot (context menu “Metadata (IPTC) Snaphot – Paste”), the labels of the thumbnail in the contact sheet aren't updated to reflect the changes.

Platform? macOS, Windows, or both?

At any rate this happens on Mac OS. I don't have a Windows machine to test this but it might be happening there too.
