Remove folder of images from catalogue?

We've identified a problem that can cause Catalog delete or rename operations to become "stuck" when the operation is performed on large numbers of files. (Discussed briefly in this thread.)

Glad this topic came up as I ran into this yesterday when removing ~4K images from Catalog. It did stall for a bit, however recovered before last call from wife to come down for dinner. I’ll give the beta a try this weekend to see if it fixes response time.  Thanks.
