In retrospect and reconsideration, my comment was too harsh. I apologize.
I have been using PhotoMechanic for a long time. During that time, I have found that regular reading of the forums has been an invaluable educational tool. I have learned of many features etc. that I might otherwise have missed. Of the various forums, the Features Request forum, was perhaps the least educational but interesting nonetheless. And sometimes there would be an interesting discussion or explanation of the technical issues involved.
When the forum moved to its new home, I followed. But I was immediately confronted with the login issue. Not a big deal I guess, but a nuisance and I am not sure that I explicitly realized at the time that a third Camera Bits login was required. But since I didn't have any immediate feature request, I never signed in. I continued to visit as a lurker. But now there was no useful discussion and the Camera Bits response often struck me as somewhat smarmy and/or patronizing. I also recall there was an issue that made it very difficult to identify new posts (perhaps because I didn't sign in). After a couple of months of monitoring it, I decided that the forum was a waste of my time and I haven't been back since. (But neither have I had an overriding feature request.)
In the last few days, I have gone back and looked again. I conclude that it is better than it was; the updates issue seems to have gone and the Camera Bits responses have improved. But I doubt that I will be adding it back into my regular forum viewing.
