Photo Mechanic Plus
« on: October 08, 2020, 12:29:19 PM »
I've installed a trial version of PM 6 Plus alongside my registered version of PM 6. When I open PM 6 Plus, I get the options Continue, Bye, Register as expected. However, I get the same options upon starting my registered version of PM 6 after I've closed down PM 6 Plus. Is that the expected behaviour?

No, it is not.  Did you try to enter your PM6 license key to activate Photo Mechanic Plus or did you only click the "Try" button?

Thanks for your reply, Kirk. I clicked the try button. Should I enter my license code?

No.  But can you tell me if you were able to get a free upgrade from PM5 to PM6 back when PM6 was released?

Thanks,

-Kirk

That is correct. I bought PM5 and was entitled to a free upgrade to PM6.

Thanks.  We have confirmed that PM6 will act like it has started a trial if you start one with Photo Mechanic Plus.  I can fix the problem, but it would require releasing a new Photo Mechanic 6 build.

Rest assured that when the trial ends your PM6 will go back to working as it did before you started the Trial.  Photo Mechanic 6 and Photo Mechanic Plus behave exactly the same under trial as they do when activated with a license with the exception of the warning dialogs telling you when the trial expires.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Thanks for the assurance that things will return to normal when the trial ends.

Just coming here to say that I have to same issue. Even after uninstalling PM Plus my registered PM 6 keeps running as trial with some time left. Did not register it again as I did not want to lose a seat.

My PM6 was not a free but bought upgrade from PM5.

Oliver,

Build 4665

OK, updating your build of PM6 should solve this problem.  You can read about and download the latest build of PM6 here: http://forums.camerabits.com/index.php?topic=13773.0
