Ingest on Big Sur not working
« on: March 22, 2021, 08:27:26 AM »
Hi

Updated my mac to macOS Big Sur,version 11.2.3 yesterday and I am unable to ingest my pictures,I get the message below. (no pictures are downloaded)

Ingest complete (1error)

Incremental Ingest: Unable to create or locate Ingest data file on /Volumes/EOS_DIGITAL.  Is this a read-only volume?  Incremental Ingest will not function for this volume.
Finished copying from volume "/Volumes/EOS_DIGITAL/".
Volume "/Volumes/EOS_DIGITAL/" has been unmounted and is safe to eject.

I am using Photo Mechanic Version 6.0, build 4538 (51e5663)

Any ideas?

Thanks

Geoff

Please see this article: https://docs.camerabits.com/support/solutions/articles/48001152686-trouble-using-external-drives-with-macos-catalina

Also, please update your Photo Mechanic 6 application.  The one you're using is very old.

Thanks Kirk that worked.

I had been updating but  the old version was still on my computer and that was the one opening. Deleted the old version now and updated and all working!

Thanks
Geoff
