Can Keystrokes be Customized?

I'm on a trial PM, in BrandX software I use the 1 and X keystrokes (no modifier) to rate and reject on my first pass. I'd love to customize PM to do this, is that possible? BrandX also auto advances to the next image speeding up the ratings process, though the render process is sloooowww. Hence I'd prefer to use PM to at least get my ratings done.

No, the keyboard shortcuts are not customizable.  But in the Preview preferences you can set tagging/rating/color classing to advance to the next image.
