Color labels transferring into Photoshop?
« on: December 25, 2006, 04:55:05 PM »
Hi,
Thanks for a great program. Maybe I'm just missing it happening, but do the color labels assigned in PM cross over into Photoshop?
I want to use the blue label to designate the originals for my  before I copy them for my working folders.
This would help my workflow!
Thanks again.

The Color Class labels in Photo Mechanic are not compatible with the labeling system that Bridge uses.  Theirs is not index-based like our is and is really just a tag.  They just don't map to each other well at all.

Version 4.5 (in development) does have a compatible 5-star rating system so maybe you could just treat a particular star rating as meaning a given photo is an original...

That is an idea! I'm trying to save the stars for final images for the end marketable images, but there's always room for flexibility if it's not available. Have a great New Year!
