Bulk FTP
« on: November 02, 2021, 02:06:47 PM »
I have a thousand folders with approximately 20 images in each folder. I need to FTP the images in each folder. What is the most efficient way of doing this?

Assuming that there is only one server you wish to upload all of the images to: from the Navigator, select the parent folder containing the 1k subfolders.  Right-click on it and choose one of the "Open folder and subfolders" options.  Select the images (Edit->Select all).  Then use the File->FTP Photos as... command.

Note: it will likely take some time to scan the 1k folders for images.

This worked out well. Is there a limit of how many images I can FTP at once?

There is no hard limit.  All images being sent are copied to a separate location (to protect them from being modified or deleted while they're being sent) and disk space could be the limiting factor.  Generally, even this should not be an issue unless your startup disk is near capacity.
