Batch edit keywords
« on: June 03, 2022, 08:30:15 AM »
I'm new to Photo Mechanic and I'm having trouble figuring out how to batch edit keywords. Is there no way to display the Metadata (IPTC) Info panel for multiple photos?

No. The Metadata Info shows the metadata for a single Image. However, you can apply metadata to multiple items by selecting them on the Contact Sheet and then filling out the Metadata Template with the keywords you would like to add to those images. Keywords and a few other fields have a '+' checkbox that allows you to add to the keywords of each photo you are applying them to, rather than replacing whats there with a new set of keywords.

I'd recommend giving Carl Seibert's videos a watch. He covers the topic of Keywords very nicely: https://home.camerabits.com/2018/01/31/keywords-the-carl-seibert-series/

No problem. Since this is more of a support request, I am moving this thread to the appropriate forum.
