Capture One and PM
« on: June 13, 2022, 03:07:36 AM »
I have an issue when renaming in PM.

Whenever I rename one or one hundred images in PM, the images in Cap One are reverted to their original state.  Say, for instance I have cropped ten shots, turned them into monochrome and edited them, when I rename in PM the RAW files are returned to their original uncropped original colour state.

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Simon.

Simon,

I suspect that there is some file associated with the images that PM isn't renaming.  Where are these edits stored?

It is better to rename the images in Capture one because this will affect all the processing control files.
However, if you only have unprocessed RAWs, you can rename them in PM and change their metadata as well; in Capture One you will find the correct names, you just need to load the metadata to retrieve those from PM.

The C1 database adjustments are linked to the filename, as such a change of filename outside C1 will mean the database cannot associated an adjustments to the file.

PM and C1 work extremely well together, but changes in filename need to take place inside C1
