I ingested an entire chip from a Nikon D2S and how in Windows File Explorer, the file names show "._924_D2Snnnn" where nnnn is the sequential number of the image. In PM, the images read as "_D2Snnnn" under each thumbnail. During Ingest, I always copy the original filename into an IPTC field. When I try to do a rename to those group of images in PM using the IPTC variable that contained {filenamebase} with the intent of naming back to their original name, the file name doesn't change when viewed in Windows Explorer.
I still had the original chip and all images are correctly named on the chip.
I am not having a problem with these named files, just that I notice something "odd".
