How to navigate to default location for templates
« on: January 31, 2023, 07:38:44 AM »
After a reinstall of Photo Mechanic Plus 6 on my system, when I attempted to save a new Meta (IPTC) template, the save location was Applications, not the default. I was unable to navigate to the default, which I believe is somewhere in the Users Library.

How do I go to that location?

My system:

iMac 27-inch, 2017
4.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
macOS Ventura 13.1
Radeon Pro 580 8 GB
Memory 64GB

Thanks in advance.

There is no default location for saving metadata templates (I assume you are clicking the Save button rather than creating a snapshot), you save them where you need them to go.

Snapshots are saved in the User Library (you can get to their location by choosing "manage snapshots" from any Snapshot menu).

What is preventing you from Navigating to somewhere other than the Applications folder?

Nothing. I just didn't remember PM+ coming up in this directory before. No problem, though. I'll just navigate to a spot to create my own folder.

Thanks for the explanation.
