I've been wondering if Apple has a patent on their "Live Photo" technology that effectively lets them create a short video clip out of a group of photos and use machine learning pick the likely best one. Now that image pre-capture and 20-30fps shooting exists, it would be very helpful if PM would be able combine bursts of photos into short movies the way Apple does and to effectively let you play a movie back and stop at the frame you want and select that one. That way you wouldn't see a contact sheet with huge amounts of effectively repeated images and it would make editing much faster. If PM could use machine learning also to pick a likely candidate, then great, but if not it could just show one and have a symbol on it to let you know that images were combined into a movie clip.
