Difference between Paths and Collections?
« on: May 22, 2007, 09:15:23 AM »
In the structured keyword pannels I can't figgure out what the difference is between applying several keywords as paths or as collections.
Does anyone know what the intended use for each is?

Pavel,

Using the collection allows you to collect a large set of keywords in a group (a collection) and then apply them all at once.  Lets say you have a hundred images selected and each time you apply the keywords it takes 20 seconds to complete.  If you make a collection that is comprised of ten different paths then it will only take 20 seconds to apply them all at once.  If you applied each path one-at-a-time then it would take 200 seconds (almost three and a half minutes.)

Using a collection is a convenient way to see a lot of keywords all at once, and can save a lot of time in processing.
