NC2000 files
« on: April 26, 2006, 10:38:28 AM »
I would like to reprocess some images made with an NC2000 in 1997.
When opened in PM v 4.4.2, they show in black & white, compressed half frames with vertical lines.

PS CS shows the full thumbnail, but only in b&w and it only lauches a thubnail-like image in b&w.

Can PM do anything with these?

I seem to recall processing some of these in past versions of PM.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Ty

Older versions of PM could indeed process those files, but the later versions cannot.

Before the Rob Galbraith forums closed down, I saw some folks talking about a converter that will convert the NC2000 RAW files to modern CR2 files, but I am not sure what the program is called.  Maybe someone else will know the name of the software and where to get it (I think it was a Canon product).

HTH,

Well, the  NC2000 is a Kodak product based on a Nikon N90 camera.

Kirk, could you be thinking of the Canon D2000 which was a version of the Kodak DCS 520? The latest version of Canon's DPP (2.1) now supports the D2000 and D6000 cameras.

That's likely what they were talking about on the RAW Processing Forum over at the old Rob Galbraith forums then.
