Pattern questions in "Add Pattern" in "Scan to Catalog" and "Catalog Sync"

Hi,


1) In "Add Pattern" under "Folders to Exclude" in both "Scan to Catalog" and "Catalog Sync", is there a way to add a negative pattern to always include, or "not exclude"?

2) Or could the "Add Pattern" function be added to "Folders to Include"?

3) Further, what kinds of patterns are allowed in "Add Pattern"?

Simple sub-directory names, no regex.
