Photo Mechanic Plus Version 6.0, build 7102 (796dd4a)
macOS 13.6.6
The Favorites sidebar’s horizontal scroll bar continually activates when it isn't needed (no extra long folder names that would require scrolling horizontally). The reason this is an issue is because when using a trackpad, it is difficult to scroll perfectly vertical without also moving side to side. That results in my Favorites bouncing around side to side as I scroll, causing the triangles on the left to become partly or even completely hidden (screenshot). I find I’m forever having to fix the positioning horizontally to make the triangles fully visible.
Here’s an example of what's happening in the screenshot:
- I adjust the Favorites sidebar to be rediculously wide like the screenshot.
- Quit PM and relaunch.
- Favourites does not have a horizontal scrollbar at this point.
- Click any triangle to open a folder and the horizontal scrollbar becomes active, even though it isn’t needed because Favourites is rediculously wide.
- Scrolling can result in the triangles becoming completely hidden.
- If I now adjust the width of the sidebar to make it either wider or narrower, the horizontal scroll bar disappears And everything is back to normal.
- Click any triangle to open a folder and the horizontal scrollbar becomes active again.
