Font choice does not stick in slide show

Photo Mechanic Plus Version 6.0, build 7102 (796dd4a) on Mac Sonoma 14.4.1 (23E224). I'm using PM to run a slide show that renders the Caption text on the images displayed. My chosen settings seem to be applied, bar one: the chosen font does not show in the slide show. Instead, the standard font is shown. I can change the font colour, but not which font is displayed. Either nothing changes, or PM crashes (I've sent you the crash report generated upon restart). Please advise.

It's possible that the rendering engine PM uses (OpenGL) cannot render that font.  Do any other fonts work for you?

I have tried several fonts. They are rendered correctly in PM's Slide show dialog window, but not in the slide show itself.
