Phtoto Mechanic "not seeing" files

I recently purchased a used Canon 1DX Mark II.  I shot a local rugby game and filled up a 32gig Cfast card.  When I try to ingest the files in PM using a Cfast card reader, it doesn't "see" them. I tried downloading the Cfast card using Windows Navigator and they downloaded fine.  Then when I try to ingest these files using PM, this time as a folder rather than a disk, once again they are invisible to PM. Do I have something turned off in PM?  Turned on?

Thoughts?
