Bulk updating of date fields from a CSV using Photo Mechanic

We run a digitisation business and have hundreds of files where the date needs to change from the capture date to the original date of the historic photograph. We have the file name of each file in the a spreadsheet along with the date captured by metadata capturers and we are wanting to write these back into the files replacing the capture date with this original date. Is there a way to do this using Photo Mechanic or if not, does anyone know of another way to do this in bulk referencing the CSV?

If you specifically need to update the actual capture date/time value, then this is unfortunately not currently possible. If you just need to use the capture date or time in a caption or other field, that would be very simple with Code Replacements. Happy to expand on that if you need me to.

This video demonstrates adding metadata to other fields from a CSV as Andrew had mentioned. (This concept could also be used to add the historical date to the filename as well) You can adjust the capture time one at a time, but not in bulk in this way.
