"Ultimately, there is going to come a time when Apple or Microsoft makes an update to their OS that breaks something Photo Mechanic 6, and if we had stuck with our original intention of when Photo Mechanic 6 was going to be EOL, that time would be now."
you're MASSIVELY not getting it. the way this "transition" was handled and what there is to show for it was bungled from the beginning. forcing users into a subscription is one thing, no new features, no roadmap to making PM a modern piece of software, plus the embarrassingly slow response to this issue are all out of bounds. if your plan to EOL PM6 in May 2024 was even remotely plausible, you would have had the courage of your convictions and stuck with it. clearly you understand this wasn't plausible, and that's why we're in this stupid zone where we're waiting months for a fix and hearing "be thankful we're fixing it at all". do you think anyone is fooled that this delay is to get people to throw in the towel and give you subscription money that you haven't earned.
i've used photo mechanic (and even bought and tried PM+ LOL good lord) for my whole career, and it's easy for me to say that i've received more value than i've paid. it can't be ignored that it wasn't the kind of software that added features and improved experience often enough to justify a subscription. no you all are playing games to get through the transition and you can't be surprised that people aren't happy, CAN YOU?
do you have marketing help? comms help? does anyone there understand the good will you've torched over the handling of this?
