IPTC reload in live ingest
« on: April 02, 2025, 10:22:54 AM »
Would it be possible to add a command or button to reload the metadata template? Right now I have to stop the live ingest after EVERY inning to update the inning in the caption and then restart a live ingest. It would be great to just go to the metadata sheet, make the change and then have a button to reload the metadata for the the live ingest.

Hi Eric, hot codes work great for writing the correct inning into 'Description/Caption'.  I recently wrote-up a summary to do this for a colleague, which I've attached below.  The camera configuration portion is specific to the Nikon Z9, but can be modified to work for other camera systems.

 Thanks Robert,

The big issue that I see is that I am shooting tethered so there isn't an ingest of the cards going on.  If someone hits a homer, I have the photos already sitting in pm with the base caption waiting for me before he's even sat down in the dugout and usually captioned with the details and filed to the wire before the next batter has had a chance to strike out. I can see doing it your way if I am at one of the parks that don't allow us to have our laptops in the wells, but at Fenway we all have our laptops out and running all game long.
