Hi Kirk, I reinstalled R8835 after having fallen back to R8622. The behavior is 100% reproduceable on Windows 11 Pro 24H2. I'm running on a Lenovo X1 Carbon Gen12 (current model) with 32GB RAM & 2TB SSD.
1) Edit | Preferences | Accessibility | Keyboard Shortcuts: shows legacy keyboard shortcuts are configured for the items I verified: Open Contact Sheet (Ctrl+O); Ingest (Crtl+G); Set Photo Rating 1 (1); FTP Photos As (Ctrl+U). This is the default state after installing the application (I didn't customize anything). However, please note I did not validate all of shortcuts vs. the drop-down menu shortcuts in the previous release (R8622), so unknown if there are gaps in the default configuration. All of the subsequent tests below use legacy KB shortcuts that appear in the new 'Keyboard Shortcuts' tab:
2) Contact Sheet: None of the above KB shortcuts work in Contact Sheet. Pressing the key sequence = no response. However, it works as expected if I navigate to the menu bar and select the corresponding drop-down menu item.
Example #1 Ctrl+A does nothing in Contact Sheet (all images unselected); selecting 'Edit | Select All' from the menu bar works as expected (all images selected).
Example #2: "/" does not rescan the Contact Sheet containing images. I removed one of the images with Windows Explorer, but when I return to the Contact Sheet and press / to rescan, the file still appears there. As above, however, when I select 'View | Rescan' from the menu bar the Contact Sheet is rescanned and the file I removed disappears.
3) PM Explorer: After opening PM and before doing anything else, Ctrl+G does not open the Ingest dialog. However, it works as expected if I select 'File | Ingest' from the menu bar. The same is true for Ctrl+U to open the FTP dialog.
4) (IPTC) Info: Interestingly, with a Contact Sheet open, and after clicking the "i" button to open the (IPTC) Info screen, shortcuts like Ctrl+1 to set red color class and Alt+1 to set rating=1 both work as expected. Neither of these work with the photo selected in a Contact Sheet.
I ran keyboard diagnostics and confirmed that all of my laptop keys are working correctly.
See attached PM.zip. I also have a demonstration video I can send you if interested.
