Need to copy file names to xmp title field

I use Apple Photos for a limited subset of photos (converted to small footprint jpeg / jpegXL / HEIC files) for iCloud access. Sadly, Apple Photos only uses Titles (or the order files added) for sorting inside the albums etc.

Does anyone know if possible or have a process to batch copy file names to the DC:xmp Title field?

Use {filename} or {filenamebase} in the "Title/Object name" field in the Metadata Template and then apply the Template to the images you'll be importing into Apple Photos.
