Crop using Fractional Numbers?
« on: June 15, 2007, 02:47:40 PM »
I would like to crop my photos using odd sizes ie 2.6 inches x 1.9 inches. How can I do this? The constrained crop only moves in increments of whole numbers.

Another question: Can I APPLY the crop when I copy a photograph? I know I can apply the crop when I email a photograph. How about when I copy the photograph?

Enter 26 and 19.  It should work out to the same ratio.

Use Save As instead of copying.

However, there are other limitations due to the restrictive implementation of entering crop proportions. For example, I cannot crop to a required size of 386x240 for a web gallery, and am forced to go outside of PM to do this. The current dialog limits values to a max size of 100, which also must be entered using the up-down control. If the application allowed keyboard entry of any reasonable value, that would allow for unlimited crop proportions.
