Shortcut for tagging multiple images

Hi,

I am desperately trying to tag all marked images via shortcut. The documentation says CMD & +. This does not work for me (PM version 2026.2, build 9034). It might be related to the fact that MacOS is set to English but I am using a German keyboard layout. Any idea how to get this to work other than using the menu? CMD & - to untag is working fine.

Hi, I don't know the answer to your question. Another way to tag all selected is to hold the Option key and click the small 'tag window' at the bottom-right of a photo in the contact sheet.

Image menu -> Tag Photos

Whichever shortcut is listed there should be the one that will work for your keyboard. You can edit this shortcut by going to Photo Mechanic's settings and going to the Keyboard shortcut customization and looking for "Image -> Tag Photos"

I checked Image menu -> Tag Photos before and it shows "CMD+=" as shortcut which does not work.

Yes, I did and now it works as wanted. I was just surprised that the original shortcut did not work.

I'm not sure either, I switched to a German keyboard layout and pressed Command-Shift-0 (in looking at German keyboard layouts, 'Shift-0' is how you type '=') and it tagged selected images for me.

Yes, Shift-0 is our way to type =. Don't know why it didn't work for me. But it does now that I changed it to CMD-+.
