(3) It would be good if we could specify Job fields which must be filled-in before starting an injest. If we use job variables as part of a folder and/or file name (or even for IPTC fields) it would be better if the system would not let us start the ingest if these are blank.

In a fast paced environment ingesting multiple jobs in a day it is too easy to forget to update the IPTC stationary pad, particularly the keywords field.
Accurate keywords are vital to maintain the file's value in the future, so an option that makes the stationary pad window open - hence interrupting the ingest process just before it commences would be very helpful to maintain discipline in this area.
