Photo Mechanic V6 Spinning Beachball

I am using MacBook Pro M2 Max 64 GB Ram 2 TB HD with 1.42 TB free space. PM V6 build 7285

Spinning beachball occurs for several seconds every time PM launches and has done so on previous Mac OS versions, currently on Tahoe V26.5.1. No such issues with any other software.

Is there anything I can do to stop this happening?

Do you truly mean when it launches (the program is not running at all) or do you just mean when switching back to Photo Mechanic from another application while Photo Mechanic is already running?

At launch PM software appears with spinning beachball, PM software unresponsive for approx 15 seconds. No other software running.

You could start a trial of the new version of Photo Mechanic to see if it performs better when launching the software.
