Beta 4 crashes on "Upload"
« on: July 21, 2007, 04:15:40 PM »
When I tried to use the upload command (file>upload) with beta 4 to send files to my Digital Railroad archive, PM tells be that it is searching for folders, then I get the "official" apple notice saying that PM has unexpectly quit. PM does not close on its own, it just freezes and I have to force quit.  The same thing happems if I try to send to Photoshelter.  The file>FTP photos as... command works in the beta, although I didn't try to convert tif to jpegs.   I tried to send files to Photoshelter with the beta 4 version using the Photoshelter upload command on the contact sheet, and PM also "unexpectedly" quits.

Regards,

Peter

What Mac OS X version are you running?

Peter,

OS 10.4.10, 1.4 GHZ G4, 1 gig RAM

We're able to reproduce this on some of our systems, but unfortunately on none of our development systems which would make tracking down the problem much easier.

I'll keep you posted on our progress.

Thanks for the update.  I am using the FTP option in the meantime.

Peter,

Thanks for the update.  I am using the FTP option in the meantime.

The crash you experienced should now be fixed in the RC1 version.  Please see the Announcements section and download the release candidate 4.5.2 version.

Thanks,

-Kirk

Kirk,

That did it.  I'm uploading files now.
